 Arturo Rhodes

I have come to Deya in 1981 to stay for a couple of days and never left. At that time I had been living in India, but had returned to England in winter. I took a holiday to Spain staying at the beginning in Ibetha, then traveling to Mallorca settling in the mountain village of Deya. In the first years I made watercolor on paper, but progressed to the use of pigments with anacrylic base. I have had exhibitions in Germany, England, Japan and Spain. I love the symbolic meanings of images and colors. The fact is we dream all the time night and day. Being creative is a way of defining myself measuring myself against starry night.
